Smith leaned against the cart. His tired blue eyes racked his brain for an answer- when had he last talked to his old friend? "Not really. I think I called him once, just to see what was up, but we didn't talk long." he responded finally, looking at soph sympathetically. just then, Kairu approached with a bag of mnm's. "We need these." She put it in the cart. Smith smiled as they walked to the cash register, and after they checked out they carried their bags to the car.

"oh, hahahahahaha! I forgot...Yeah, sorry guys. I was lonely so I came to visit, and you left everything on slash unlocked, so i let myself in..." She got up off the couch and helped carry the grocery bags into the kitchen. "Bourbon and m&ms?" she questioned, then shrugged. "Sounds good to me."

Kairu laughed, setting down the groceries next to the bar. Smith soon followed with car keys and some Jack. He took off hit peacoat, and setting it down, started to sing. "Come inside take off your coat, I'll make you feel at home!" He walked over to kairu and wrapped his arms around her waist. She groaned, but didn't move them off of her. "Now lets pour a glass of wine, 'cause now we're all alone- and I've been waiting all night, so just let me hold you close to me!" Hazel and Soph stared at him as he started to sway. "'cause i've been dieing for you girl for you to make love to me!" Kairu shoved his arms off of her, walking to the kitchen. Smith laughed, walking over to help.

At that moment, an old Fiat Convertible roared into the driveway, the engine revving for show. Someone was yelling, "Alice, cut it out!" over the load engine, and the key turned and it was again quiet. The driver's door opened, and Alice came tumbling out, landing on her face.
"OW!" she yelled, getting up, and checking a small cut on her chin. "So not funny, Orion." she said, turning and walking to the house. "Kairu! Sorry for dropping in so unexpectedly." she said, putting her arms around Kairu. Orion got out of the passenger's side.
"I didn't mean to be funny," He followed Alice's steps up the porch. "What's up, Smith? Sorry, Alice felt like visiting, I would've called if I'd had enough time." he said, shooting a glare over in Alice's direction. "By the way, what's with the odd assortment of groceries?" Orion asked, pointing at the alcohol and M & Ms. Alice giggled, her arms still around Kairu. "That looks exciting,"

Kairu giggled, hugging alice back. She went to the counter and got out glasses- small ones, big ones, ones with cat ears. "Smith," She called to her husband in the next room, "Would you put the movie in?" He came out holding Penelope's leash. "After I walk Penelope, yeah." He responded smugly, squeezing past the guests to look for the fish. Kairu rolled her eyes. "If we had a DOG, I could go with you!" She yelled after him, then smiled and turned her attention to her guests. "Little mermaid, anyone?"

"No," Alice said, grimacing. "I prefer Anastasia," she clarified, shifting through the DVD cases. "Rasputin in real life is a total bad-a**."

HAZEL TIME:

"Well, Alice, I'm afraid Anastasia isn't actually a Disney movie, my dear. Once you're drunk, I don't think the movie will matter so much..." she laughed and took a swig of bourbon.

ALICE'S TURN:

Alice gaped. "WHAT!?" she exclaimed, searching through the DVDs. "MY LIFE IS A LIE!!!"

HAZEL:

"It's okay, lovely. Have a glass. you'll feel better...." Hazel offered a cat-eared glass of alcohol. "The pain will go away!" she laughed, realizing what an alcoholic she sounded like. "Actually, you can have mine- it's smaller, and I want the cat glass!"

As the credits rolled Sophiana snuggled in the couch and took another shot. Why was she not thinking about the cute dermatogloist she was dating, he was attractive, rich, crazy for her, and unlike Charlie had a plan for his life. Nope stupid Sophiana was thinking about an old boyfriend 5 years ago. She ate some M&Ms as the sisters sang about Ariel the youngest. Kairu took a swig of beer, then proceed to yell. "WOOOOOOO!" She called to Alice, then laughed. Just then, Smith came through the door, his hair disheveled. "Penelope!" He called outside, and a flying fish zoomed through the door, up the stairs, and into her room in a blur. "Damn." He looked after her, surprised at her speed. Smith walked over to Kairu just as she was about to take a sip of beer, and guided the bottle away from her lips. He kissed her longer than necessary before breaking away and sitting next to her. Kairu raised one eyebrow. "We where just discussing how big Ariel's tit's are." Smith smiled. "Lovely."

Smith oppened his mouth to answer the question, but kairu interrupted him. "I think that your fairy tale is just waiting to happen," She said, patting Soph on the back. "With or without him." Smith nodded. "Oh, and, Ariel's got better boobs that you." He addressed alice, laughing. He clearly didn't want to get emotional about it, but Kairu could see what was happening. As she took another sip of her alcohol, seeing only herself in the sienna reflection, She imagined how it would feel if everyday this was all she saw. Herself, alone. Or as good as alone without the one she loved. kairu leaned against Soph affectionately, tightening her grip on the bottle.

HAZEL: "I think... Charrrr-lie. Well, I thought that you seemed hapier with him, but that what must be done must be done, and i suppose you needed to call it off for a while." she explained. A few words were on the verge of being slurred.

She nodded her friends never heard the whole story but in the drunken moment it all came out "He went to look for me a ring, yep." she nodded and pushed her hair back "He wanted me and little kisses and blonde babys, and I" Her head fell and she held her glass "Ran, I didn't move to Luxembourg because I wanted to be independant I ran away, like a scared little kid."
