Indira "Indie" Newman was born February 16, 2008 to Laurence and Helen Newman. She has black hair and blue eyes, and tanned skin. When she was little she couldn't pronounce her "r"s, which left her calling herself "Inda" or "India", which Helen didn't like. So Helen came up with the nick-name "Indie", which was both a name Indira could pronounce, and that Helen liked.
In her younger years, Indie was always out doors. When she wasn't outside playing survivor or shipwreck, she was inside with Seattle, helping her paint or draw. When Indie turned nine, she began to show signs of magical abilities, but could only use them when she was angry or upset. The first instance when she used magic was when her brother, Luke, caved her fort by the stream in, and he ended of with his head underwater for about a minute before Seattle could pull him out.
Indie had always shown an interest in the stranger languages, her favorite being German. She insisted on learning it, despite her mother's fits about how it was "An ugly and difficult language". Indie loved German and eventually became fluent in it, listening to strictly German music, her favorite band being Deichkind, and insisting on German subtitles on Family Movie Nights.
Indie is a boisterous, loud, girl who has trouble controlling her temper, which flares easily. She can be flighty and moody, which can make her difficult to approach. It takes her a while to make friends that she can keep with out ending up hurting them on accident. Her max height is about 5 foot nine, and she wears oval reading glasses. Her hair is long and slightly wavy with side-bangs, and her weight stays between 120-125 most of her life. She doesn't eat any meat aside from most seafood, excluding lobsters. Her animal is the ram.
When Indie is 15 she meets Will Thomas, who she later marries at 22. However she finds out that he has been "seeing" Alina behind her back after two years of marriage, and she gets a divorce. At 27 she meets Gray Walters, who she marries at 29. They move to Cologne (Koln), Germany where they buy a small cottage that, although it is not wide and at most has two rooms per floor, is tall and goes up four stories. They have two children, _______ and ________ (IDEAS PLEASE?)
