Penny Rigby pressed the smooth button to end her conversation, oil slicking in between the number keys annoyingly. She took another handful of chips, popping them into her mouth hungrily. "Sure, mom, I've got everything handled," She muttered sarcastically, "No, mom, we won't be drinking," She rolled her eys at the conversation the had prior to the fact. "blah, blah, blah blah blah..." She lifted herself from the couch, examining the room. The appetizers where out- SAW was in the DVD player, ready to roll- all she needed now where the guests to arrive. Penny brushed off the crumbs from her black jeans, adjusting her All Time Low tee before heading to the kitchen. When she caught her reflection in the sleek, metallic fridge door, she flinched a bit. A black haired girl with dull green eyes stared back at her. Her hair was teased, her outfit was adorable. She had the perfect life anyone would give up their arm for. Yet, she felt oddly out of place as she remembered that this meant another year with him on the loose. Another year she failed to save herself. Another year, wasted, spent stuck in a bird cage body with a scarred, tired little heart inside, begging to make the constant circle of day and night simply sto-
Penny's thoughts where interrupted by a loud knock on the door. She ran towards it, opening it gleefully.
"PENNY!" kitty cried when the door opened! Her own bubble gum pink hair was teased as well, and she wore lavender bubble shorts and an alice in wonderland shirt. She took her ragged black high tops off carefully and set them by the door, stepping in. "Happy birthday! I promise I won't, you know, ummm...I'll try not to...." she whispered awkwardly. "Ah, i love your shirt to death!!!" she complimented, laying her present on the nearest table. She gave penny a hug.
Daisy jumped up and down as she held her present in her hands. "Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday." she chanted. Melody leaned against the wall "She will be her momentarily Dai. Just chill." Daisy stuck her tounge out and continuedto jump.
Zinnia walked through the front door, followed by Alitza and Vesper. She placed her present on a chair, and smiled at Penny. "Happy birthday! Sorry, Alina wouldn't come," she said dryly, giving a hug.
Penny laughed, hugging her friends. She flipped her long, jet black hair, eyes glittering. "I'm so happy to see you guys!" She invited the girls to sit, grabbing a chip and dipping it into some salsa. She popped it into her mouth. "So how do you guys feel about SAW?" She laughed.
Meldoys eyes glittered "I wanted to see that soo badly but my mum, and Daisy said I was too young." Daisy swayed "I love...wait isn't that scary?" She nervously looked at the ground. Melosy clapped "Whoaww!" She dropped her bag and ate some chips. Daisy hugged Penny "Happy Birthday!"
Alitza punched the air. "Right on!! I love horror movies! Bring on the blood 'n guts!" she yelled, striking a pose on the couch. Vesper made a face, and did a few hand signs and non-commental jerks of the head, picking up the DVD box for SAW. Alitza made a face.
"Vesper, it isn't real, stupid," she sighed. Vesper grimaced, shaking his head, pointing again. Zinnia shook her head. "I don't think Vesper's actually ever watched a horror movie before, ha ha..." she smiled in a pitying way. She turned to Penny.
"I'm cool with saw, I think Vesper will be fine," Vesper scowled, throwing the DVD case back on the table and glaring at Alitza, who smiled triumphantly. "YES! Hit the play button!"
Penny frowned a bit, glaring at vesper. No one said anything about males being there. "Vesper!" She pulled on a weak smile, attempting to mask her displeasure. She shook his hand. The teens heard a loud scream above them, followed a dull thudding sound. Dorothy then arrived from the stairwell, looking shaken. "Hey!" She smiled, trying to catch her breath. "Stairs... and I..." She made a loud wooshing sound, motioning herself falling down the stairs. "and-" She made an exploding sound, looking around the room awkwardly as no one said a thing. Penny laughed a bit. Dorothy scratched her head, hair pulled up lazily. she sat down in embarrassment.
Zinnia looked at Penny, looking worried. "Is it all right for him to be here? He's practically a girl-" Vesper pushed Zinnia lightly, looking put-out. "If you really don't want him here, he can go home." Zinnia smiled. "Halen's there, but he and Vesper aren't that close. Sorry for not telling you, I should've said something, Penny, I'm really sorry," she said quietly, hugging Penny. "I'll just ask mum to come pick him up if he's a bother."
Vesper made a small apologetic smile, holding out his hand to Penny.
Penny sighed. The room grew quiet, everyone tensed for her response. "Whatever." She pressed play. Dorothy looked at her feet. "Anyone want to make cookies?" She changed the subject swiftly, walkng over to Melody. "I have SO much to tell you about!" She whispered, giggling. They walked into the kitchen. Penny sighed again, eyes fixed on the opening sequence of the horror flick.
"Go home, Vesper," Alitza snapped. Zinnia looked surprised. "Vesper, Esther and Dala are there, you'll be okay, right?" Alitza looked at her hands. Vesper smiled and nodded, pulling out a cell phone and handing it to Alitza to call Alice. Zinnia smiled. "Sorry about this, Penny," she sighed, face-palming. "I'll take you up on that cookie offer, Dorothy!"
Melody walked over to Dotty and started to whisper, they both would giggle and then reapeat as needed. Daisy skipped over to Penny "Penny~ It's your birthday! She sat down and watched the opening scene. Her brow furrowed and she looked taken backby the blood, and terrorr "Eww..." Melody turned "Very...interesting."
"Penny, you know how i am, I see you almost evevryday..." Kitty smiled. She adjusted her thin sequined headband and took another chip, as a particularly scary moment happened. She jumped, nearly dropping the chip as she covered her eyes.
Melody clapped as she saw dorothy do something funny, Daisy smiled "Well not much has happened to me either." Melody hollered at Penny ate a chip "Penny, your chips are bangin" Daisy raised a finger "I remeber I now love cake rolls, they are super tasty and pretty."
Alitza took a chip. "I've been excellent!" she chimed, mouth full. Zinnia smiled. "Summer weather is excellent!... Is it even summer? Anyhoodle, Mum's greenhouse is going nicely..."
