Kairu found Smith, who was watching the whole thing happen. "Huh, I guess he allready knows." he said. Kairu Gave him a hug. "I'm so happy for them!" She said, watching the couple at the refreshment table. "Comeon, lets go outside." Smith said. They walked out to the gardens. "Did you try any of the punch?" He asked. Kairu guffawed. "Heck no, it's spiked for sure!" Smith began to wonder. Surely, if not Hazel, Paul would know, right? "I don't see anybody..." Kairu said to herself.
She hoped off of the stairs she sat on and walked out to the gardens. 'Hey, wait up!" Smith said. "Hmm?" Kairu turned around. Smith walked beside her. They walked like this to an unoccupied bench. she sat down, smiling. Smith did the same. "So..." Kairu said. Smith looked up at her with his deep blue eyes. they sparked a bit. "You know, I have'nt kissed you yet..." He observed. Kairu turned over to him. "And?" She asked. "I have to fix that..." he said, leaning closer to Kairu. There lips where just about to touch when a very angry snape yelled, "Stop it, no, no no! get back to the ball!" Kairu just looked at him. blankstare

"Just because you're lonely doesn't mean we have to be. Go off and kiss a couldron. We have better things to do." Smith said in protest.

Sophiana and Charlie had promised to try and dance one dance together. They only danced one needless to say. The two jumped off the dance floor and found a table. Sophiana pulled out a set of cards."Blackjack anyone? She asked Charlie. Charlie grinned "You're on!" He said. "Wait one minute." He called as he jumped up and returned with 3 of is and Smiths Hufflepuff friends. "Now we can play!" Sophiana laughed and delt out the cards. During all this she could see Hazel and Paul, and Smithru. Charlie in the middle of the game said "O I forgot to invite Paul. " He got up and was several feet away from breaking up Hazel and Paul. Sophiana darted up from her chair and jumped on his back. She whispered iin his ear. "Dare break up that dance and the worst things in the world will come into your life." He sigghed and Sophiana rode him back to the table.

Julia ran through the Ball Room wildly ,stumbling around trying to catch her cat, Lupin.
"Get back here!" She hissed, many curious fifth staring at her as she dashed across the large room. She could hear Lupin's taunting laugh ahead of her.
Without realizing she was in the center of the ball room, she skidded to a stop, glancing around her. Everyone was dressed in elegant clothes, dresses and suits and dress robes all together. She caught several girls glaring at her, and boys struggling not to laugh. She blushed, knowing she was wearing only her normal robes and Gryffindor scarf.
Suddenly, her ginger tomcat Lupin leaped into her arms, wearing a bitterly exasperated ex[ression.
Sighing, she hurried to the chairs at one side of the room and slumped down, glaring at her feet self-consiously.

((Hey, sophiana, Your post was great, but hazel and paul weren't dancing. They were over near the butterbeer at the refreshments place.))

Hazel and paul grabbed some butterbeer and were walking when hazel caught sight of sophiana on charlie's back, and then saw smithru at the table behind them. "Oh, hey! Cards! I love cards!" Hazel said excitedly and ran towards their table.

Sophiana smiled at Hazel "Wanna play?" She offered as Hazel sat down, Sophiana delt out the cards. She also handed her a handful of pretzels. A boy from across the table threw in the center 4 pretzels. Charlie and the other two boys followed. Sophiana stared at her cards "5" she said and threw in all her pretzels.

Smithru entered the ball room, looking for their friends. At that moment (Arg, idea/arg that would be so sweet/arg not a wizarding band/arg fan fail/arggg) (What I wanted to be sway, but that's a lively song and by muggles) A song came on. "oh! I love this song!" Kairu said, leading Smith out to the dance floor. They slow danced, trying their hardest to actualy dance well, but when the song changed to a lively, up-beat rock song they just gave up and head banged. They danced like idiots for several moments, and then when Smith remembered, they ran off to find sophilie. "Hey! What're you guys doing?" Kairu said when they found them.

"Oh." They both said. " I don't know the first thing about it..." Smith said, and Kairu agreed. "i'll just watch." She said, pulling up a chair.

Sophiana squeled "21" i win she took the whole pile of pretzels in the middle. "Kai you gotta keep your cards as close to 21 as possible, if you get 22 or more you bust.Easy enough wanna play?"

"Um, er, no, I'll just make a fool of myself..." Kairu said under her breath. "If you feel embarassed, then I'll be your pride..." Smith whispered into her ear. She flushed several shades. "Uh...Ok, I'll play!" She said, encoraged my Smiths support. Some bystander cheered. 'Uh, yeah, so just how do I play anyway?" She asked.

"Okay i'll hand you one card up and one card down. you add the 2 togther. If it is a a ways down from 21 you ask to be 'hit' and i'll hand you another card. If you get more than 21 you bust.

Kairu focused back on the game. "uh, so I have this..." She looked at the 'up' card, "...and this." She pointe dto the one still facedown. "What now?"

As the game whent on Kairu discovered she was terrible at black jack. "um, I'm gonna go now..." She said, nabbing a pretzel and steping out of the game. Smith followed her, and grabbed her hand. "Kai'..." He said persuasively. 'I'm not good at that, I'm only embarassing myself. Heck, I still don't know how to play." She snaped. Smith let go of her hand. "Just hide behind me, 'kay?" She thought, and then nodded a bit. Soon they returned to the table. "My lovely date seems to have some issues, so she will not join you again tonight." Smith said, Kairu hidden from view in the crowd. He turned and grabbed her hand, and then headed for the gardens. "Comeon! Lets go mess with Snape!" He provoked cherefully. She grinned and they whent off to bug him.

She said, "And I said his nose was full of some mysterious goo-like substance, and he..." She chuckeld. "He said, Nose? What is this Nose that you speak of?"
