Seattle skipped lightly down the stairs, her eyes bleary and unfocused. Her messy dark hair was getting in her eyes, but she was to lazy to push it out of her face. Back at the top of the staircase, her now ex-boyfriend was making out with a particularly pretty blond fifth-year. Seattle had found it quite a surprise to learn that Jeremy had been cheating on her for most of the school year, but after discussing it she had realized how highly plausible it was, and how it actually made a lot of sense. She and Jeremy hadn't really been together all that long- A school year or two. But Seattle was never very honest with anyone, let alone Jeremy, so the fact that he was seeing another girl really shouldn't have come as such a shock to her. As she reached the bottom of the staircase, she broke out into song.
"Well, I don't want a thing to do with your... kind. And I ain't got no time to kill on your... dime." Seattle sang, spreading her arms and spinning around the empty space. "Strung up, hanging 'round... Looking like you're upside down."
"Well, I ain't wanting to shed no blood, that's your... crime." She bent down, shaking her hips with her hands balled into fists at her knees. "And I ain't wanting to sling no mud, I clean it up. You ain't what I'd call a friend. I wouldn't, even if I could pretend." Seattle swayed slowly down the space between the Gryffendor and Ravenclaw tables, heading up the teacher's table. "Man, you ain't like anybody else!"
"As night becomes the sun to rise, As dirt becomes the butterflies," as she got to the long wooden table, she carefully jumped up on top of it, tipping over the silver goblets that crashed to the floor, emitting a metallic chime through the empty hall. "As sure as though it always seems to stay the same. And I'll be waiting anxiously, And I'll be falling fast asleep, And I'll be dreaming of the day the dream died." Seattle spun wildly around the table, making it to the center directly behind the podium the Dumbledore always spoke from. She placed her hands on her hips.
"Uh huh!" She shook her hips back and forth, then thrust her hand into the air.
"No sticks, no stones could break my bones like you... can." She laughed, putting both hands on either side of her face. "If I knew hate, I'd call it love for you, man. High up on the hill, cheaper than a dollar bill." Seattle smiled as she strutted the length of the table, her heels clicking loudly on the tabletop. "Man, you ain't like anybody else!"
"Should we pretend that it's the end? Are you my curse or are you my friend? And if we got hit to the end of the road, Will you be there to carry my load?" Seattle hopped from the table, kicking the silverware that she had previously knocked over even farther away.
"I'm getting it back with that terrible feeling," She crossed her arms around her stomach, swaying quickly to either side. "My vision is cracked, but it looks like it's healing!" Her fists hanging on either side of her she bobbed her shoulders, her torso moving left and right gradually. "I'm getting it back like it's four in the morning! When the sun only shines as if it's giving a warning!" Seattle did a little spin after making her way halfway back down the hall, still bobbing her shoulders one at a time. "I'm getting it back with the rest of the leap year, I'm keeping the rabbit, and the bat, and the reindeer. I'm getting it out, whatever I've gotta keep in!" She sashayed the rest of the way to the doors at the end of the hall, stopping at the doorway and shook her shoulders while leaning to the left. "I'm telling the truth, said it don't win with pretend!" "Should we pretend?" As Seattle made her way out of the Great Hall, she turned and noticed a boy about her age, his sandy blond hair catching the light from where he was standing. He held out his hand. Should we pretend? "I'm Oliver, you?" he asked, his hand still outstretched. Seattle blushed. "Seattle," she replied, shaking his hand. Should we pretend?

Charlie was leaned back in a chair and talking to Smith, Yeah, but I mean isnt the whole point to squeeze it? Smith shrugged and nodded to the door of the classroom. He looked over and a smirked enveloped his face. Sophiana Tsuki sat in the back row next her friends, and put her books down. She flipped her long blue hair behind her, and Charlie felt like he was in a movie, the busy classroom froze and a beat started. You walk into the room and I I, I-I, I, I, I-I, I. He fell back in his chair I wanna tell ya, tell ya, but I just can't speak. This shouldn't be so difficult. He got up and walked toward the back of the room Why-y. why-y-y-y-y-y, He quickly turned around toward his seat Tell me why I see you and I just can't breathe. He turned around again, and held his chest. He got a goofy smile at Sophianas grin as Alice told her a joke
You're like a bullet, girl, to my heart, You're like a very far shooting star, He put his foot on the chair The very thing that I need, Look at how you get to me He stood on the chair completely now, wishing she would look up and get the hint. I can never be myself, How can I when I'm stuck in hell? He frowned and looked at the table and kicked a book off the table, it flew across the room and it knocked over a book shelf. Stutterin, stutterin, stuttereh-ing Stutterin, stutterin, stuttereh-ing He looked away and jumped off the chair like it never happened. Wanna tell you how I feel inside But every time I go and try He puffed himself up and walked to her table he leaned down and spun around. Mutterin, mutterin, muttereh-ing Stutterin, stutterin, stuttereh-ing He cursed, he was supposed to be a ladies man and the strange girl with blue hair and amber eyes caught his attention. He looked at the ground then flopped on the floor.
Don't leave, When he looked up, the room became a ballroom and she was in a puffy gold dress, she left the royalty table and started toward the door, he grabbed her gloved hand I know I effed it up, He referenced to himself, knowing she would have never leave if he was honest That's my luck, That's just my luh uh uck. He took her hand and put it on his chest, and she shyly smiled up at him Here I go, Here I go and do it again He looked into her eyes and the room was a classroom again, and he was 30 feet away from her, not at a ball.
You're tut-, And I'm just so tongue tuh-ied. Why-y-y, why can't I get it right? The words just wont come out, They wanna take down But I'm still around He sat down in his seat and looked at Smith, he was so comfortable around his girlfriend, he just asked her if she wanted to hang out why couldnt he?
You're like a bullet, girl, to my heart Your like a very far shooting star, He slumped in his seat and cupped his face his hands, The very thing that I need Look at how you get to me... He put his feet on the desk and looked up toward the ceiling.
I can never be myself, How can I when I'm stuck in hell? Stutterin, stutterin, stuttereh-ing Stutterin, stutterin, stuttereh-ing He rested his hands on his stoamch and sang to the ceiling Wanna tell you how I feel inside But every time I go and try Mutterin, mutterin, muttereh-ing Stutterin, stutterin, stuttereh-ing He waves his arms and shakes his head like he is getting ready for a fight, he stops and smoothes his shirt, takes a breath.
You're like a bullet, girl, to my heart Your like a very far shooting star, He did a look to the sky, and waved his arms across the sky The very thing that I need Look at how you get to me... [x2] Realizing how gay that looked, he glanced around, being glad the class was frozen and didnt see that.
I can never be myself, How can I when I'm stuck in hell? Stutterin, stutterin, stuttereh-ing Stutterin, stutterin, stuttereh-ing As he walked across the room for a final time, he noticed all the girls we would trade for a date with her, that answer was all of them. Wanna tell you how I feel inside But every time I go and try Mutterin, mutterin, muttereh-ing Stutterin, stutterin, stuttereh-ing He wiggled a bit more and saluted to the frozen Smith, here we go he thought
Muttereh-ing. Stuttereh, stuttered, Stuttereh-ing The song ended and the class unfroze. He stepped over and leaned down. Sophiana smiled Hello He got his best smile Sophiana, right?

Alice sauntered down the hallway, hanging her head in tiredness and annoyance. She and Orion had had a tiff earlier that morning, which resulted in a break up. Alice sighed. Although they were nearing the end of their school careers, she hadn't been ready to take something as big as getting a house together with Orion. She stopped in the corridor, and piano tune starting up in the background.
"I never meant to be the needle that broke your back." she sang, ballroom dancing with herself to the other end of the hall. "You were here, you were here, and you were here- Don't look back." She peered over her shoulder down the hall, checking to make sure it was empty.
"I never meant to be the needle that broke your back. You were here, you were here, and you were here- Don't look back."
"He war he war He will kill for you!" Alice sang loudly, talking to herself. "He war he war He will kill for you! Hide from who you can..." She sighed, reaching the top of the stairs, sliding carefully down the banisters. "You know you can."
"Hey hey heeeyyy! Hey hey heeeyyy!" She reached the bottom of the stairs, shuffling along the empty floor. "Hey hey heeeyyy! Hey hey heeeyyy!"
"Im not that hot new chick, And if you want me to run with it-" She stopped near the entrance to the Ravenclaw common room, spotting Orion by the door waiting. She turned and jogged in the opposite direction. "Were on to your same old trick, Get up and run away with it."
"Im not that hot new chick, And if you want me to run with it!" She yelled as she opened the front doors, running out into the tall green grass of the field. "Were on to your same old trick, Get up and run away with it!" Alice jumped, letting herself fall into the grass and rolling onto her back.
"Hey hey hey! He war he war He will kill for you Hey hey hey!" She called to the sky, getting back up and shaking her hips, both hands straight in the air. "He war he war, He will kill for you! Hey hey hey! Hide from who you can... Hey hey hey!" Alice spun towards a tree by the lake, pressing her back against the trunk, looking towards the steadily rising sun. "You know you can."
"Hey hey hey! He war he war," She took off her shoes, stuffed her socks into the pockets of her high-waisted shorts and stepped carefully into the chilled water. "He will kill for you. Hey hey hey! He war he war, He will kill for you!" Alice spun around, her feet kicking up bunches of water, the smaller droplets dappling her clothes. "Hey hey hey! Hide from who you can." She sat down on the lakeside, her long red hair blowing in the breeze, her bangs getting in her eyes. "Hey hey hey..." Alice sighed, hearing someone walk up quietly behind her. She turned a little, seeing Orion's shoes. "Can we talk about this?" he asked quietly. "You know you can." Song: He War Artist: Cat Power Album: You Are Free
