Alina and her twin, Zinnia, were born on June 27, 2003 in Saarbruken, Germany.

As Alina matured, she began to develop a more punk-ish sense of fashion. She wears a lot of old, funny rings, and over time collects an admirable collection of ear-piercings. She limits her song-listenings to hard rock and electric, and usually just mooches off whatever her twin, Zinnia, has managed to collect. She loves plants and flowers, although she hasn't got much patience when it comes to that  of our feathered friends.
Alina, although usually fairly easy to get on with, has a certain dislike for her only brother, Halen. She likes to collect little things she picks up places, and displays them anywhere she can around the house. She has a collection of DVDs that almost rivals Zinnia in CDs and records.

She's typically a very unfriendly person, and she hates to share. Alina is always a little rough around the edges and quick to criticize. She's excessively picky, and hates colors that are too bright. She loves antiques, and illustrated stories. Alina hates the heat, but goes outside anyways, because Zinnia does. If she could have it her way, she'd be a total couch potato, but Zinnia loves the outdoors. Alina is sorted into Hufflepuff house, which she eventually hates because Halen is put there, too.

She does terrible in most of her subjects, even though Zinnia constantly tried to get her on track, although she passed Arithmancy with full marks because she was actually interested.

Alina dropped out of Hogwarts at sixteen to "help Alice and Orion" but did nothing of the sort. She packed her bags and left The Outpost before she was of age, and lived as a muggle in Grywald in her mother's old apartment until she reached seventeen. She then moved to Norway, where she bought a bakery in order to make a living.

Zinnia, on the other hand, although avidly attempting to go the same way as her twin, was drawn into the world of the scenesters. She wears bright colors, some of her wardrobe consisting of Alice's old clothes. She enjoys plastic beads, and her vibrant red hair is bleached from the tips on up to almost the very top, and dyed a bright, electric blue. She, too, has a considerable amount of ear-piercings, but her earrings are aimed for cute and bright rather than punk. She wears bright and expressive make-up, and carries her iPod everywhere she goes, accompanied by her unfathomable collection of CDs and records.

She loves the out doors, and constantly follows Alina or vice versa. She has a "green thumb", and she has an herb garden outside of The Outpost's kitchen window. She was exceedingly devoted to Alina, and was very apologetic when she went astray from Alina's path and got sucked into the Scene way of life.

Zinnia is sorted in to Gryffendor, and is visited nightly by Alina in their second year, as she flatly refused to sleep in the same place as her brother, Halen. She has a harsher disposition than Alina, but tries her best not to snap or argue, always exersizing her gift of self-control. She's flamboyant and loud, although not so much when she is around people she does not know. Although she doesn't normally care what others think of her, she's careful to be polite to only those who are sure to give her a head start in life.

In her third year, Zinnia found that she had Hypothyroid disorder, the side affects of which led to a dramatic but temporary drop in her grades until medication was given. Although the meds did have an affect on the symptoms, Zinnia is often tired and prone to rapid mood swings, and her growth is also slightly stunted.

Zinnia is the smarter and more motivated of the two, and is constantly trying to persuade Alina to focus on her work, which eventually amounts to nothing in sixth year when Alina drops out and moves away. After graduating with distinction, Zinnia stays out  of Alina's contact for over three years, furious and shocked at her sister's failure and abandonment.

She gets a job at a library until she is eighteen, all the while being an active animal-rights activist. After getting fired from the library for attempting to protest at the library, she joins up with Dala and starts a clothing design business. She doesn't talk to Alina again until she is 23, and by that time most sisterly connection had been lost.

Both Zinnia and Alina are skinny, although Alina is stockier than Zinnia, and Zinnia is somewhat shorter. Zinnia's patronus is the Crow, while Alina's is the Cowbird.

They are wizards, and I don't think they would have iPods,

I like them better now that you've expanded on them. Kitty seems more like she'd be zinnia's friend, but Is still compatible with Alina.

Why can't they have iPods?

If they can have CDs and stereos and a kitchen, then I think they can have iPods. Orion is muggle-born, and it all depends on the wizarding family's choice on how to live.

Yeah, I think Kitty would be better as a friend of Zinnia rather than Alina- Alina turns out to be kind of a b**ch....

But they are wizards in England. Yes there are iPods in England but so was harry was muggle born and he never mentioned any 1990's tech, computers (dudley had two), walkmans, cassestes, cds, records, or any muggle tech.

But of course Harry wouldn't have any of those- Why would the Durselys buy anything for him? They did mention PlayStation, I may add. Just because it's like that in Harry's life doesn't mean that it has to be like that. They have TVs, stereos, computers and DVDs and CDs- Why not iPods? I don't really see what the problem is. It's not a Pureblood family, so Orion's way of life was mixed in, and he had a whole muggle family.

Whatever. In what book do they mention playstations, cds, dvds? I still think it's weird. (I also understandit was based in the 90's) but i think that they would be more adpt to be less muggle.

They mention the playstation when Harry moves in to Dudley's other room, he says he chucked it out of the window. And they talk about TVs in almost every book because they watch the news and they say in book one that dudley got the second computer that he asked for.

Although they may be more apt to be less muggle, Zinnia wanted a way to take her music with her, but didn't have the room to take her whole collection of CDs everywhere she went. Solution: iPod.

Yes, I realize that they're my OCs. I don't understand why it bothers you so much. I don't want a fight. And the Weasley's are a Pureblood family. And Orion was basically a muggle until he was 11. And, as it's in the 21st century, I don't see why it's so bad that a family of wizards have an iPod.

They can have iPods, if you desire. They are not mine.

You're using that "reserved but still angry" thing. Just tell me why it bothers you. Please?

I think that Alice's kids could have an iPod. Cassi's house has a tv and phone and stuffles like that. It makes sense to me.

Nope. She dyes it brown with platinum streaks in her slutty phase.
