Kairu combed out her long, bi-colour hair is steady even strokes. She was thinking. She put down the comb and studied her dress. It was white, strapless- made from a sheer fabric, multi-layered, with a black satin ribon just below the bust line. It was tight and form fitting until the hips, where it balooned out into a ball-gown. The torso had black filagree in two lines down each side of the front, and outlining the rim before the dress's bottom. The bottom was made of layers of the same sheer white fabric, and it swished as Kairu walked out into the common room to check the time. "Ohh..." she said, running back to her comb. She put her hair up into a luxuriously braided knot, and because of the coloring, the knot was a soft graidiant as it spiraled. She did one last make-up check, to be sure her lips -the only coulored thing on her person- where still the same shade of red, glossed over to a full, plump shine. Her eyes where a smoky gray that made her deep olive irises glitter and gleam in contrast. Kairu let out a deep breath. "Time to go meet Smith." She said to herself, walking out into the soft-green light of the common room. The cold greeted her with a shock. "Oh!" she exclamed. "Shoes!" Kairu ran back into the girls dormatory, grabing a pair of simple white heels. She taped into the hallway.

Sophiana sighed as a piece of hair wouldn't lay right. This happened a lot. She finally gave up and used her powers. Her royal blue short, long pixie cut hair finally looked perfect. She glanced in the mirrior her flapper style carmel apple red glissened in the poor dorm lighting. her black flats sparkled in the dim light as well her sliver charm braclet rattled as she smoothed her blue hair. Okay she thought i'm finally ready. She looked one last glance in the mirrior . She turned around her several black long necklaces till they were straight. Ready or not Charlie here i come.

Kairu met Smith in the hall way, his pale face flushed red. "Wow...You look amazing." He said as Kairu linked arms with him. She smiled, heart fluttering. "You're looking good yourself." She said. Smith wore traditional black dress robes, but because of his hair colour it looked like it was chosen to be that way.
"well, lets go off to the ball." They both cracked up at this, walking down the hall to the ball. When They arived they found their places among the other students, trying to blend in as much as possible so they could sneek away later.

Sophiana gracefully walked down the stairs till she saw Charlie "Hiya Charlie!" she called waving. Thus she fell down the rest of the stairs. At the bottom she hopped up and pointed at him. "Thats one way to go down the stairs!" They proceeded into the Great Hall.

The twiwizard champions began the opening dance, and Kairu soon spoted Sophiana in the crowd. Attemting to quietly walk over to her, Kairu triped on Smiths shoes and fell flat on her face. the surounding students snuffled laughs, but the dance whent on. "Oh gosh!" Smith whispered, helping her up. "Er, thanks..." She said humbly. Well then. They finaly reached Sophilie and stood next to them. "That potter boy's a horrible dancer." Smith commented when the crowd had dispursed. kairu laughed. " I love your dress!" She commented to Sophiana.

Sophiana laughed at Smiths joke. "Kairu yours looks ravishing as well!" Charlie turned to Smith "Boy Smith your plain black robes looks sooo hot!" Charlie said this with elabrete hand motions and lots of mocking. Sophiana back handed him hard in the chest. "oph!" he said as the wind was knocked out of his chest. He rubbed it and grummbled.

"Thats for sure." kairu said, smiling. Smith blushed. "Plain black, very traditional, rather an oximoron, don't you think?" he said in embarasment. Kairu turned her attention to the dance floor. "Hey, you wanna go and dance?" She asked. Smith took her hand. "If I may, love." He said, sweeping her out onto the floor.

Sophiana smiled at Charlie he ackwardly asked Sophiana if she wanted punch. Sophiana laughed and walked with him to the punch.

When they both had sufficent bruises, Smithru walked outside to the gardens. The trees had been decorated with lights. kairu stretched, yawning. "Pretty night, huh?" Smith comented. She nodded in agreement. "Wow. It's the yule ball, and it turns out we're both terrible dancers." She laughed a bit. Smith looked concerned. "Well, that's better than one of us being." He said. They looked out at the stars for a few moments. "Well that was fun." Kairu finaly said breaking the silence. "what? Do you think that it's over?" Smith asked. "Come'on!" He said, Standing up. She looked up at him quizicaly, then took his hand and headed back into the great hall.

While Smithru and Sophilie were doing sweet happy couple stuff, Hazel walked over (barefoot) to sit with Jeff. "Gawd, I don't wan't to be here," hazel thought as she sat stiffly in her chair. "Hey, wanna dance?" Jeff asked her. "NO." Hazel replied icily."Fine then." Jeff snapped, and he strutted away to join some friends at a table. "Oh, crackhead mushroom!Now Ive really messed up!" Hazel muttered to herself. Normally she would have gotten up to go join kairu, but she knew very well that smithru was probably dancing, and she wasn't going to be the one to interrupt it. so instead she sat in a corner. and waited for something interesting to happen.

"UMM..,well, I was kinda not looking forward to dancing and Jeff asked me and I was all mean and said no, and now I feel stupid, but I....I...wasnt sure I wanted to be here with jeff in the first place. there's someone else, but So then Jeff walked away and i feel awful!"

Kairu hugged her friend. "Aww I'm sure he's a git! Lets go find that person!" She suggested. Smith stood awkwardly next to his cousin. "Uh, yeah...what she said?" he guessed. 'I've had enough of dancing." kairu rolled her eyes, chuckling. "Yeah, we both stink at dancing. Nuff said." She explained.

Kairu Turned at Smith, who was laughing hystaricaly. "Paul?" He asked inbetween laughs. "What? Who's paul?" Kairu asked. "Who's paul?" She asked again, turning to red-faced-Hazel.

"What's funny 'bout that?" Hazel then addressed Kairu."Paul is a 6th year hufflepuff who asked me to come with him here, but I said I was going with Jeff. And Smith seems to think that the fact that I said the name 'paul' is the most hilarious thing he's ever heard." Hazel shot a dark look at her laughing cousin.

Kairu looked out at the dance floor. "Smith! Do you see him?" She asked. Smith looked too, and finaly he said,"Yup, that's Paul, alright." he pointed to a guy in the middle of the dance floor. kairu grabbed Hazels arm and shoved her off in his direction. "Paul,here we come!" She said.
